PRESS: Gazprom, Rosatom mull power units construction on Sakhalin
MOSCOW, Oct 2 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom and state nuclear power corporation Rosatom are in talks on the construction of floating nuclear power units for fields in the Sakhalin Region, Kommersant business daily reported on Monday.
“According to Kommersant, Gazprom is discussing with Rosatom the possibility of building floating nuclear power units with a capacity of up to 116 megawatts (MW) to supply power to fields on the Sakhalin,” the daily reported.
Rosatom can build the power units for power supply of Kirinskoye and Yuzhno-Kirinskoye gas condensate fields of Gazprom, the daily also reported.
